Found a great resource for RI hiking

While researching my hike through Border’s Farm, I came across this great site focusing on hiking in Rhode Island and SE New England.   Excellent resource.

The Foster town Conservation Commission is working with RIDEM and the Foster Land Trust to move part of the North South Trail off the road and onto land managed and owned by the Land Trust and the Farm.   This will provide a welcome respite of the miles-long roadwalk which is the Foster section of the North South Trail.

Having walked this trail myself over the summer (80 miles, 3.5 days), and wearing the blisters to prove it, a mile or two of woods with a reliable water source will be a dramatic improvement over the asphalt and gravel.
